South & Central America IPv6 Training Workshop

This workshop was aimed at network administrators in South and Central America and drew 21 participants from NRENs, universities and commercial providers. It combined both theoretical presentations with hands-on exercises, and in particular aimed to convey how to practical operational experiences. The first day focused on addressing schemes, configuration and deployment, with the second day dealing with routing and network management. The final day concentrated on security aspects and DNS configuration. The participants had unlimited access to six Cisco routers, and worked through a number of specific deployment scenarios using this equipment.

The workshop was organised in cooperation with CLARA and was held in conjunction with WALC 2006. In line with this event, the workshop was conducted in Spanish.
